How To Handle Disapproving Loved Ones While Building Your Business
In the beginning, everyone seems to have that one disapproving loved one that holds them back from giving this their all. Whether it be a spouse, boyfriend/girlfriend, parent, sibling, etc., they find themselves walking on eggshells around this person, and it tends to slow down their pace.
We have several members on our team with loved ones that don’t approve, or do approve, but don’t want them to leave for meetings, and don’t seem to understand what it takes to build a network marketing business.
We can empathize with anyone in this situation. Before Whit and I jumped in, I was that loved one. I didn’t like network marketing, and I let Whit know it. After we enrolled, it was my own mother. (Keep in mind we were living with my parents when we first started building this. It made living under the same roof difficult. Constant negativity and judgments from her were almost enough to hold me back… Almost.) Whit’s step mom was disapproving for the LONGEST time. But, over the past 2 years, these loved ones have gone from disapproving… to supportive. How did we do it?
In the video below we dive into 4 things that can help take your loved one from disapproving and negative toward your business to supportive and positive.
We can’t promise anyone that their disapproving loved one will come around. Even now we still have a brother in law that rolls his eyes any time we mention our business. (He doesn’t even know how much we make!lol) But we know that putting these 4 things into action will make building your business easier. Remember, nothing speaks louder than success.
