A Hidden Problem In Many Network Marketing Organizations Causing People To Quit Before They Even Get Started
Do you find that people are enrolling in your team, sticking around for only a few weeks, and then randomly deciding they don’t want to do this anymore? Maybe they’ve even made some money and STILL decide this isn’t for them? Why is this such a common problem in our industry and what can we do to fix it?
Whit and I have a theory…
Is there unity in your organization? Do cross lines get along, maybe even hang out? Is everyone working together for a common cause?
If you answered no to any of these questions, you’ve found your problem.
If there is drama between your teams, including cross lines, down lines, up lines, any lines for that matter, people don’t want to be apart of it.
Something we’ve found in doing this business is that people don’t really get involved for money alone. Money just happens to be a perk of working. People are looking for connection and relationships. They want to be apart of something bigger than themselves.
To help our teams feel a sense of unity, we’ve started hosting a team BBQ quarterly for those that live closer to us. Our last one was Friday evening and it was a BLAST. We don’t focus on work at these get togethers. Instead, it’s a laid back atmosphere where distributors and guests get to enjoy themselves and build relationships. We invite leaders in our up line, but they aren’t there to present or try to hammer the opportunity into people. Instead, guests and new distributors can ask questions and get to know who they’re working with on a more personal level. It’s been a HUGE success so far.
When there’s a sense of unity in an organization, relationships are built. People will want to stick around a little longer regardless of how much money they’ve made so far. When everyone is unified in working toward the same goal, any thing is possible!
